Ron Jaworski’s Foundation, Jaws Youth Playbook, has donated $2,500 to Urban Promise for their fall and spring after-school cooking classes. Urban Promise has three schools, including Elementary, Middle, and High School, and offers various programs such as Youth Employment, Summer Camps, Urban Trekkers, BoatWorks, and After-School Programs.

One of the After-School Programs offered by Urban Promise teaches healthy cooking on a budget in partnership with My Family’s Kitchen. During this 12-week program, children learn about kitchen safety and how to cook fresh and nutritious meals in a simple, healthy way for a family of six (6) prepared in under an hour for $25 or less. At the end of the program, the children are awarded the opportunity to cook a fresh meal for their families, putting to test all that they’ve learned!

Jaws Youth Playbook is delighted to support both the fall and spring sessions of this program.
