New Socks for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

Jaws Youth Playbook donates 2,000 sock to CHOP Fostering Health Program

As part of National Foster Care Month, Jaws Youth Playbook visited the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and delivered 2,000 brand new, Under Armour socks for children in their Fostering Health Program. Often times, children entering the foster system have limited clothing and new socks are one of the top needed items.

“Each year, approximately 500,000 children are in the foster care system in the United States. In Philadelphia, more than 5,000 children are in foster, kinship or residential care. These children often lack routine healthcare, and many have chronic health conditions and behavioral and emotional problems needing coordinated care. At Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a team of specialists work together to support the healthcare needs of these children.”  (Source: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Fostering Health Program)
