AtlantiCare’s Summer Meals program is aimed at ensuring children and teens in Atlantic City continue to have healthy meals during summer months. This year, AtlantiCare distributed nutritious to-go meals Tuesdays and Thursdays to allow for social distancing and other safety measures aimed at preventing spread of COVID-19. It has organized family-centered, home-based wellness challenge activities and contests to promote physical fitness and mental wellbeing. AtlantiCare hosts the program in collaboration with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Southern Branch and with support from other organizations and individuals, including Jaws Youth Playbook.
